Ed is a communications manager with McKesson Corporation, where he leads communications programs for the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts and for the McKesson Foundation. Before joining McKesson, he consulted with companies including Amgen, Gilead Sciences, and SunPower, and held in-house roles with UnitedHealth Group and LifeMasters (now part of StayWell Health Management).
Ed earned his undergraduate degree in English at Swarthmore College. His first career was as an English teacher in Helsinki, Finland. After becoming bilingual, Ed worked as an interpreter/translator and completed graduate studies at the University of Helsinki.
A San Francisco IABC past president and board member, Ed chaired the Hospitality Task Force for IABC’s 2015 World Conference. Ed is a longstanding marketing consultant with the Taproot Foundation and was recognized for providing 1200 hours of pro bono service to local nonprofits. In his spare time, Ed can usually be found outside training for a race – or simply enjoying the beautiful Bay Area.
