Stephanie Grant is assistant vice president of communications at Wells Fargo. In this role, she is responsible for strategic programs and corporate communications social media initiatives for Consumer Lending Group, which includes eight lines of business – mortgage, home equity, credit card, auto lending, student lending, personal lines and loans, and retail services. In 2010, Grant was named a “40 Under 40” executive to watch by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2014, Grant was marketing director at Scripps Health, a $2 billion nonprofit health system based in San Diego. Grant worked for Wells Fargo once before, having joined the company in 2004 as a communications consultant for Wells Capital Management in Minneapolis. In 2005, she relocated to Southern California and was named assistant vice president of regional banking. In this role, she was responsible for internal communications strategies, media relations, sponsorships and various community relations activities. She was also the public information officer for the City of Eden Prairie, a suburb of Minneapolis, from 2001-2004.
Grant earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University. She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and has held several roles, including president, on the IABC-San Diego board. She has supported several organizations over the years through volunteerism, including Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., San Diego Children’s Choir and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America.
