Chapter Advocate

Kathy’s communications career spans 15 years at both Salesforce and Autodesk, and now at CSAA Insurance Group as a senior IT communications consultant. Her internal and executive communications experience spans a broad range of areas including human resources, finance, IT, marketing, customer success, M&A, and crisis communications. Kathy thrives on fostering employee engagement and trust, building community, and connecting employees with an organization’s strategy, purpose, and values.

Kathy has a  bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, in addition to specialized training in corporate communications, leadership coaching, and crisis/incident management and communications

Beyond her professional achievements, Kathy has always had a strong commitment to volunteering and community service. Currently, she assists with member engagement for the IABC Seattle chapter and serves as a mentor with Veterati which supports veterans and military spouses in their job search and career transitions. In the past, Kathy volunteered with Kiva.org, reviewing and editing microloan profiles, and served as vice president for the Autodesk Employee Relief Foundation. She also served as the vice president of communications with the IABC San Francisco chapter.

After 30+ years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kathy and her family relocated from Napa to Washington State in 2017. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her family and outdoor adventures like RVing, ATVing, and kayaking.
